Dr. Binkley attended  Vanderbilt University where he played football and  received a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a minor in Chemistry. He earned his DMD from the University of Louisville in 2001. Upon graduation, he completed a postgraduate residency, AEGD- Advanced Education in General Dentistry, with the United States NAVY.  Dr. Binkley served at NAS Pensacola, FL and MCRD Parris Island, SC as an officer in the US NAVY Dental Corp.  Dr. Binkley returned home to Kentucky where he practiced general dentistry for four years, before pursuing his interest in endodontics at the graduate endodontic residency program at Indiana University.  After graduation, he opened Binkley Endodontics in Louisville, KY. 

Dr. Binkley is married to Angela and is the proud father of son, Jack.
